Black Bottle Whisky partners with Movember

It’s that time of year when there are many holidays. And at these times, we seem to notice more those who are not with us anymore. We miss them. Cancer takes more and more of our friends and family. Men – we are notoriusly bad and looking after ourselves. We need to change that.

This is a great initiative from Black Bottle Whisky. Please support it. I will.

A whisky and a good cause are partnering up for the Barbers Network Challenge this November a.k.a. the hairiest month of the year – Movember – an initiative to raise more funds and awareness for men’s health in South Africa.

From the humble but gutsy Lame Mo to the fully fledged Handlebar to the rainbow-dyed upper lip auctioned off to the highest donor – moustaches are making waves for men’s health. Black Bottle blended Scotch whisky has joined the movement and is encouraging South African men to be a part of the Barbers Network Challenge.

Ten leading barber shops across South Africa who stock The Captain’s Beard, have committed to the Black Bottle Movember challenge. Participating barbers have dedicated teams who will be challenging their clients to get involved in the three ways to raise funds: Grow a Mo, MOVE for 30 days or host/attend an event.

To sign up and support: http://monetwork.co/blackbottle.

The barber shop who has the highest number of registrations and who raises the most funds through their client base will be rewarded with a bespoke barber chair, courtesy of Movember and Black Bottle. This competition element closes at 24h00 on 9 December 2016. The top ten client fundraisers will be awarded a Black Bottle Mo-Care Kit, consisting of mo-care essentials and of course, whisky.

Additionally, Movember encourages the MOVE 30 day challenge of getting physically active in any way for 20-30 minutes per day. Mo Sistas, get behind the Mo Bros in your life, or get a little creative and organise an event.
